Yes. Memex speaks MCP — one command connects Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, or Raycast to your vault. Unlike cloud memory servers, it runs on your machine with no account, agents get citable answers with [[slug]] references, and they can only file new notes into your inbox — your canonical notes are untouchable by construction, and every action is logged locally.
The engine, MemexLab, is MIT-licensed and open on GitHub — you can inspect exactly what touches your data and extend it. That includes the MCP server, the memex CLI, the reference agent, the skills, schemas, evals, and the governance policy.
